Iranian remote desktop: everything you need for support and remote work
DorsanDesk is built for remote computer control, technical support and remote work. Its interface is fully in Persian, it runs on Windows 7 to 11, Windows Server, Linux, Mac and Android, and its web version runs in the browser with nothing to install and full mouse and keyboard control. This page only lists features that actually exist in the current version.
Fully Persian, right-to-left interface
Windows 7 to 11; 32-bit and 64-bit
Multi-user server version
Linux, even without a desktop environment
Signed installer
Web version with mouse and keyboard enabled
Web version: full control from your browser
Mouse and keyboard enabled: click, right-click, scroll and type, with no app to install (web.dorsandesk.ir).
Paste text from the browser to the remote computer.
Persian error messages, and ID lookup across all servers.
Not yet in the web version: file transfer, clipboard from the remote computer to the browser, audio and chat. For these, install the app.
Fast, stable connections
Full control of the remote computer’s screen, mouse and keyboard.
Goes online quickly after installation. If the network blocks UDP, the app automatically uses TCP.
If one ID server doesn’t respond, the app tries the other servers.
A silent disconnection is detected in about 12 seconds, and the connection is automatically re-established for up to 3 minutes.
Choice of video codec (VP8, VP9, AV1, H.264, H.265) with a short hint next to each one.
When nobody is connected, CPU usage is close to zero.
Local network, even without internet
Connecting without internet: computers on the same local network connect to each other without internet and without a server.
Local network first: computers on the same network connect directly over cable or Wi-Fi.
The local network path is encrypted, and each host’s key is remembered for its ID.
Direct internet: the app’s traffic can go through the real network adapter instead of the system VPN or proxy.
Remote power-on (Wake-on-LAN): even for a computer on another network, through a computer that is switched on in that same network.
Security and access control
One-time and permanent passwords, and a one-time support code with an expiry time.
If you turn off a permission in the settings (clipboard, files, audio, etc.), it is applied to open sessions too in less than a second.
Lock the host’s mouse and keyboard, and a “view only” mode for the supporter.
Privacy mode: the host’s screen stays black while you work and only turns back on at the press of a button.
Session recording with three modes: off, automatic and manual. The other side is always notified about recording.
The installers carry the company’s digital signature. The in-app updater checks the file’s signature and version.
Professional support tools
Invite another supporter to the same session.
Restart into Windows Safe Mode (Safe Mode with Networking) and reconnect automatically afterwards.
A button in the session toolbar to switch the remote computer’s keyboard language (for Windows hosts).
Terminal and TCP tunneling.
Session logs for both sides, with file transfer history and CSV export.
An address book with tags and notes, saved in your user account.
File transfer
Copy and paste files between the two computers, plus a full file transfer window.
Pinned folders and a “Receive to…” option to choose where files are saved.
Files held open by another program and very long paths are copied too.
One corrupt file does not stop the whole copy. For every file that fails to send, a Persian message with the reason is shown.
Chat and voice and video calls
In-session text chat, with the local time of each message.
Voice calls with the other side during support.
Video calls with a camera, in the 64-bit and 32-bit Windows versions.
Remote printing
Print a document that is open on the remote computer to the printer next to you.
The printer driver carries the company’s digital signature. If the Visual C++ prerequisite is not installed, the app offers to install it.
Remote printing is available in the 64-bit version from Windows 7 SP1 and in the 32-bit version from Windows 8 onwards.
Multi-monitor
Choose the remote computer’s monitor from the session toolbar.
Show each monitor in a separate window.
Use all of your own displays to view the other side’s displays.
Virtual display: on a computer without a monitor (server, mini PC, laptop with the lid closed), DorsanDesk adds a 1920×1080 display itself; Windows 10 and 11 64-bit.
Multi-user server version
For Windows Server and multi-user (RDP) environments.
Every user signed in to the server has a separate ID and their own settings.
Each user’s session stays online after RDP disconnects.
Permissions are set once on the server console and apply to all users.
Stop the service “just for me” or “for everyone”, and updates that only offer the server package.
Windows 7 and 32-bit Windows
The 64-bit version runs on Windows 7 SP1 through Windows 11.
A lightweight 32-bit version for Windows 7 and later. It has chat, calls, file transfer and the address book.
If you install the 32-bit version on 64-bit Windows, the installer suggests the 64-bit version (in Persian).
Command-line options such as --get-id and --version, on Windows 7 too.
Linux
Two DEB packages: one for Ubuntu 22.04 and Debian 12 or later, and one for older distributions (Ubuntu 18.04 and 20.04, Debian 10 and 11).
Headless server: stays online, uses almost no CPU when idle, and has file transfer and a terminal.
The command-line troubleshooter dorsandesk --diagnose checks and repairs the service, clock and connection, and does not change DNS settings.
Changing the password with dorsandesk --password takes effect immediately. Mouse and keyboard also work on Wayland.
The terminal opens on Windows 7 and 8 as well (simple mode).
Dorsan-Unified troubleshooter
Runs its checks in parallel with one click and no questions asked. It is also available from the app’s own menu.
Quickly corrects the Windows clock (without changing the time zone), removes blocking firewall rules and leftovers from old installations, and installs the latest version if the app is not installed.
Puts a report and the logs in a compressed file on the desktop so you can send them to support.
A “Don’t change DNS” option and a warning when the 32-bit version is installed on 64-bit Windows.
Windows only, digitally signed, and requires .NET Framework 4.8.
Android mobile
Control a computer from an Android phone or tablet.
Separate versions for ARM64, ARM and x86_64, plus a universal (All) version for when you don’t know the device’s architecture.
Sign in with the same DorsanDesk account and access your frequently used devices.
Full Persian language support
The entire interface, including right-click menus, is in Persian and right-to-left.
Persian numerals and Persian (Solar Hijri) calendar dates. IDs, passwords and codes stay in Latin digits for readability.
A Persian installer, including the uninstall confirmation with “Yes” and “No”.
Hassle-free installation and updates
A standard MSI installer, suitable for silent installation and enterprise deployment.
Upgrades keep the ID, permanent password and settings. After an upgrade, the app and its tray icon reopen on their own.
The installer’s “Repair” option and Programs and Features both work.
A three-step first-run guide, and a warning bar with a “Turn on service” button when the service is off.
Portable version (no installation) for 64-bit and 32-bit Windows; run it and get an ID instantly for one-off support.
